Student festival at Sugekari Elementary School

I arrived at this school, located in our neighborhood, around the time the students had finished whatever festival they had participated in on the weekend. There was just a little late afternoon light left and I took a few photos while the teachers reflected on the day's activities.

Lines, shapes and colors... a welcomed photographic opportunity.

I am back... and making confused vodka again

20100816-1

Okay, I know I have been avoiding posting to Posterous this year and I apologize. It has been my opinion that very few people read what I post on social networking site and probably less who actually care. But when I went back recently and read some of my earlier posts, I found it interesting to me to read what I was doing one or more years ago. So, for my own records, I am going to continue to post stuff. There, I said it.

What better way to get back into the Posterous Groove again but with a vodka infusion post. Today I got things started with a cucumber version and a old favorite, Juicy Fruit.

They ought to ready next weekend.

Differences between camera and monitor

I finally understand why images sometimes appear different on my camera display and my computer display. Often I think I've got a good image when I capture and preview it on my camera. Yet later when I view it on my computer, the colors and contrast seem different. The answer is very simple but it only occurred to me recently.

My cameras' displays are a glossy screen while my computer monitors are both matte screens. Perhaps an excuse to buy some new computers?
